Ella Altman
Ella Altman is a multidisciplinary artist and entrepreneur, born in 1993.
In 2011-2014, she served at the Israeli Defence Forces radio station as a journalist, editor in chief and producer. She was involved in the creation of dozens of experimental documentary programs.
Received 2014’s best documentary award for her program “Arspoetica” - a growing group of poets, challenging the taboos of racial & gender discrimination in Israel.
In 2015-2016, she led a project researching new propositions for encouraging adolescent girls to study Physics. The initiative was within the Entrepreneurial Incubator of the Center for Educational Technology in Yeruham.
Ella has since participated in group exhibitions, where she has created multi-channel video installations and immersive experiences, Challenging the traditional form of art events: handcuffing strangers to a wall and creating an ongoing portrait around them, conducting a feminist drawing workshop at the Holon Museum of Design and more.
Her first film, “The Holocaust Is Over, Bitch”, is a documentary musical response to heartbreak due to the disappearance of her Polish lover.

Ella meets Lulu, a Polish musician visiting Israel; They fall in love and tease about making a film about how their affair would have been if it would have happened during the Holocaust. Lulu disappears; Ella decides she will get her back with a song and embarks on a giant musical production. Will it bring her back?
